What AKSYS LapTimer Collects
- Account information: display name, email address, vehicle name/type, and profile settings.
- GPS location and route telemetry during lap timing sessions.
- Motion telemetry such as speed, acceleration/G-force, braking, and lean angle.
- Apple HealthKit data only when you grant permission: heart rate and workout/session records.
- Imported motorsport files such as AKSYS exports, third-party lap timer DB files, CSV, or GPX files when you choose to upload them.
How Data Is Used
Data is used to detect race tracks, time laps, display live telemetry, calculate session summaries, sync iPhone and Apple Watch sessions, show pit wall data, and publish leaderboard results where enabled.
Heart rate is used for live BPM, lap/session analysis, HealthKit workout records, and your AKSYS live/session views. You can revoke Health access at any time in the Apple Health app.
Sharing and Public Leaderboards
Leaderboard entries may show your display name, circuit, vehicle, lap time, top speed, and timing source. Imported laps are marked as imported/non-official so they can be distinguished from app-verified laps.
AKSYS LapTimer does not sell your personal information or HealthKit data.
Storage and Services
AKSYS LapTimer uses Firebase for authentication, session sync, leaderboards, and live pit wall telemetry. Apple HealthKit data is accessed only with your permission and according to Apple HealthKit rules.
Safety
AKSYS LapTimer is intended for closed circuits, official track days, and safe private test areas. Do not use lap timing on public roads.

You can request account and data deletion from the app profile area or by emailing ariesnaceno@yahoo.com.
